Xiaomi is patenting another Mi MIX Alpha-like phone

Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha

Xiaomi is one of many Chinese OEMs that try to make a significant impression on the smartphone market. According to recent reports, the latest patent from Xiaomi shows that it is preparing another MIX Alpha phone. The Xiaomi patent shows that the playback ratio of this device is higher than 100%. Remember that the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha comes with an aspect ratio of 180.6%.

Just like the MIX Alpha, the Xiaomi patent shows a device with a display that extends backwards. In contrast to the MIX Alpha, the display only covers a small part of the rear. The camera is also located in the center of the rear.

As far as we know, this is just a patent. The patent does not mean that it will ever be on the shelves. In fact, it may never go into mass production. Many patents never see the light of day.

What happens with the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha?
When the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha was announced, the general impression was that this device would soon be on the market. Given the price tag, we all knew that only a few could afford this device. However, this device cannot be seen after many months.

According to Cui Baoqiu, chairman of the Xiaomi Technical Committee, Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha already has possibilities for mass production. However, this device is not yet in mass production because the company has to wait for coordination. Whatever that means, we are sure that this device will not go into mass production for the time being.

The MIX Alpha is a 5G concept phone that was released on September 24, 2019. This phone has a huge price tag of 19,999 yuan ($ 2862). It uses a 360-degree surround screen.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha uses a 7.92-inch flexible OLED screen with a resolution of 2088 × 2250. It is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus flagship platform with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal memory. It uses a 4050 mAh that supports 40W threaded flash shots.
